collaborate to bring smoke to a freshly foraged menu

This October, Michelin star chef Niklas Ekstedt, culinary leader of Central London Scandi destination, Ekstedt at The Yard, will welcome Nick Weston, Founder and Head Chef at Hunter Gather Cook, for a one-night collaborative menu focused on open-fire cooking using locally foraged produce.

Based out of rural Sussex, Hunter Gather Cook, has been providing keen home-chefs and professionals with pioneering outdoor cooking experiences for over a decade. Renowned for their courses that showcase how to identify, cook and enjoy an abundance of wild plants and animals to a high culinary standard, the Hunter Gather Cook ethos and skillset is soon to be welcomed at Ekstedt at The Yard.

Celebrating the very essence of nature and fire-cooked cuisine, using old-Nordic techniques, the evenings menu will highlight autumnal produce foraged that day from nearby rural locations - including Richmond Park. Hosted in the warm, welcoming, candlelit Ekstedt at The Yard restaurant, guests will be offered a five-course meal paired with exquisite wines. Each course, and the intricacy of its components, will be introduced by Niklas and Nick, alongside insights into the art of foraging.

Priced at £85 per head or £160 per head with wine pairing (optional)

NOTE: This special evening will be a set sharing menu, with one seating only at 7pm with guests sat on communal tables.
